Where are they now?

What happens to the Queensbury Wrestlers?  John Hubert is now an athletic director for the high school at the marine corps base (Quantico) in Virginia.  He has 3 girls and is getting ready to builid a new home.  He misses the Adirondacks and comes home often with his family.  If you know of any other alumni, send this bolg web address to them.  This could be a great way to keep in touch with our past grapplers.

Just some information on our current graduates. As most of you know, Joe Whitaker just completed his 2nd season with Carl Adams at Boston. Matt Jabaut is wrestling for Sacred Heart. Kevin Miner is wrestling for Brockport. There are also several Queensbury grads wrestling for ACC that include Tony Osborne, Pat O’Connor, PJ Charpentier, and Rob Williams. Travis Viault’s sister-in-law just informed me that he is on his way to California for his last stop before being sent to Iraq. Good luck Travis and come home safe!

Since we are talking about QHS wrestling alumni, and I know Jimmy won’t talk about himself (he is that humble), I will talk about him.

Mr. Hubert and his wife are (still) expecting their first baby, any time now.

Jim Hubert currently coaches the QMS modified wrestling program, and he is an 8th grade science teacher at his alma mater.

Talk about humble, Mr. Silvernell is a wrestling alumnist and is currently our Middle School principal. He has a son in 5th grade and a daughter in 3rd grade

As you can read, it does not get much better. Doug Silvernell is the principal of the Middle School where both Rory (head coach) and I teach. In a very good way, the kids are recruited from every angle, it is nothing short of a lot of fun.
